Previously, I was either busy or there were clouds. And this time, the sky turned out to be clear and in the evening I ran to Neapolis Scythian site (in Simferopol’, Cimea, Russia) to finally see the advertised comet. I waited until it was dark, but the sky turned out to be quite bright and therefore I did not see the comet with the naked eye. But I took a few shots with my iPhone in the right direction, on which I later found the comet at the place where it should be! 2024.10.23 19:00. Shot on iPhone 12 Pro, presented here in Display P3 (for the sake of the sunset).
Collage just for this post. Sky with comet and sunset at the observation site a little earlier #

This is actually an advertisement of my application: Panogrid for iOS on the App Store. I made it on purpose to slice panoramas to squares and post them as a carousel on Instagram. Everything here is as simple as possible, but at the same time there are wide possibilities for customization: adjusting the frame and arrows, full-size preview, 360º support and at the output the picture of 1×1 or 4×5 dimension.
You can find examples on Instagram by yourself searching #instapanogrid tag. Fun fact: the “insta” prefix from the original app name I was forced to be removed soon after the application was published based on Apple’s new rules on the impossibility to use “insta” in any way in the name!
