Decades passed by, other festivals arrives and gone, new countries appears, borders are moving, and here the Bakshevskaya Maslenitsa is an island of stability for the 4th decade! A mosquito bite with a thermal imager turned out to be much more interesting than I originally thought! Not only does the mosquito heat up from my blood while it gets fatter, but in the process of eating it still manages to poop up to three times! In the video here are three different takes on my arm. The process is shown in an accelerated form, where it is clearly seen how the mosquito gets fat and warms up at the same time, and the episodes of how it poops while eating are shown separately. Equipment: UTi260B thermal imager with a macro lens, video was recorded using the XCapture app (the thermal imager itself cannot record video). Video from 2022.08.19.

This is actually an advertisement of my application: Panogrid for iOS on the App Store. I made it on purpose to slice panoramas to squares and post them as a carousel on Instagram. Everything here is as simple as possible, but at the same time there are wide possibilities for customization: adjusting the frame and arrows, full-size preview, 360º support and at the output the picture of 1×1 or 4×5 dimension.
You can find examples on Instagram by yourself searching #instapanogrid tag. Fun fact: the “insta” prefix from the original app name I was forced to be removed soon after the application was published based on Apple’s new rules on the impossibility to use “insta” in any way in the name!

Just a couple of panoramas. I didn’t actually plan it as 360 panoramas, otherwise I would have kept the camera away from the face. Shot on Insta360 One X in DNG, stitched in PTGui, processed in Lightroom and Photoshop.
