Roman Forum and Palatine Hill in 3D, Italy

2012.09.11-17. Roman Forum is not so impressive after Ostia Antice and Hadrian’s villa. Here is a lot of of people, and the ancient Roman ruins are highly fragmented. But the trip here can be quite enjoyable if you have an extra half-day. Here still a lot to excavate. For example, on the Palatine Hill there are a fresh excavations that reveal ancient buildings by tens of meters under the ground! Amazingly, the streets of Rome grew by at least 10 meters for a couple of thousand years! This is particularly well demonstrated in the Ara Pacis Museum, north from here near the mausoleum of August. You can dig anywhere and very deep and find something old.

My first shots with Loreo 3D lens In A Cap

2011.04.07. Loreo 3D lens In A Cap and Canon 5D mark 2.
Today I receive this lens – it is so small :-) but quite usable. Images from this lens needs some noticeable post processing, but results worth it.

Viewing stereo-pairs in this blog

If you have special 3D display to view stereo images: drag images you want from the browser window to your computer and view them using special software. For example: XstereO Player in Mac OS X or sview in Windows.

You are lucky twice – if you are a Mac-user! All posts with stereo images contains big Play Slideshow using XstereO Player button. Click it to launch viewing stereo pairs from the current page using XstereO Player! (You can download it via link on the right)
