XstereO Player 2.5 / 2.6
This post is also available in: Русский
This versions has a lot of new feature and bug fixes. Almost all bug fixes are about compatibility issues with 10.8. Full list of changes you can find here. In this post I will tell you about most interesting two new features.
In version 2.5 you can open stereoscopic images directly from the web pages. And XstereO Player 2.6 will show text from Title and Alt HTML tags in window title:
Opening images from web pages works for nearly all web pages. It is useful when stereo images are posted on the same page in parallel, cross or over-under stereo pairs or as an animated GIFs. You just need to insert the URL of the web page in XstereO Player and click Find images button:
With a few settings in this window, you can help the program to select only those images that are needed.
To view only some of the pictures from the list – select them. Otherwise, all the pictures that appear in the list will be open.
XstereO Player can be started by clicking on the link that starts with xstereo: . The current page URL can be passed to the application in this link. In this blog you just need to click “Play Slideshow using XstereO Player”:
In version 2.6 I have included another sometimes useful feature: Exporting stereo photographs (through In-app purchase). This feature allows you to save what you see in XstereO Player in to JPEG, PNG or TIFF files. Also it allows you to convert MPO or animated GIFs in to other formats:
You will need to pay for the Export feature once. After reinstalling or installing XstereO Player on a new Mac Export feature will be restored with no additional cost.
